Hardware Errors
Media Errors
Problem/Message | Cause | Corrective Action |

Printer will not feed labels. | The leading edge of the label roll is not inserted correctly. The leading edge of the label roll is uneven or torn (not a straight edge). | Install the media correctly OR Cut a straight leading edge on the label roll. | Printer Error. Media Jam. Print job canceled. Errors 45 and 54 | Media is in the media guides, but not present in leading edge sensor. Media is in the leading edge sensor, but not present in the media guides. Ribbon Errors

Ribbon out. Replace ribbon and close the printer cover. Error 58 | The ribbon ran out or broke during the print job. | Replace the ribbon and restart the interrupted print job: BBP30 / BBP31 / BBP33 / i3300 - Ribbon Out Error 58 and Clicking Noises. | Error reading ribbon memory cell. Reload or replace ribbon. Errors 64, 65, 66, 67, 68 | The printer cannot read the ribbon memory cell: memory code incorrect [64], cannot read cell [65], data in cell is corrupted [66], cell is wrong version [67], ribbon counter shows no ribbon remaining [68]. | Replace the ribbon.

Power Errors
Problem/Message | Cause | Corrective Action |
---|
Printer does not power up when turned on. | Power cord has been pulled out of printer or wall socket. | Check power cord. | Screen freezes. | User interface error. |
- Press Power to turn off printer.
- Press Power again to turn printer on.
If power does not shut down printer:
- Press and hold Power for more than 5 seconds to reset the machine.
- Release Power after observing that printer has reset.

Printing Errors
Problem/Message | Cause | Corrective Action |

Faint print on labels. | Ribbon not advancing correctly. Print energy might be too low. | Tension the ribbon by rotating the reqind spool (top spool) in a downward direction until all slack is removed. Try another ribbon cartridge. Adjust the print-energy setting. BBP31 / BBP33 / BBP35 / BBP37 / BBP85 - Faint print on labels. | No print on the label. | The label or ribbon is not loaded correctly or out of ribbon. | Reinstall the ribbon cartridge. Load a new ribbon. | Poor print quality. | Ribbon and label media are incompatible, or using an incorrect label media and ribbon combination. Dust or adhesives accumulated on the printhead. Media wiper dirty. | Verify the correct ribbon for the label roll is loaded in the printer OR Change the ribbon or label combination. Clean the printhead.
