Issue

If the printer's LCD screen is freezing on the splash screen, this is likely an issue with either the material that is loaded in, or with the firmware. 

Troubleshooting

1. Remove the power cable and both media label and ribbon cartridges.
2. After 30 seconds, plug the power cable back in and attempt to power on without media installed.


Printers with Touch Screens

If the screen is black but you have ensured the printer is receiving power and appears to be attempting to power on - this indicates an issue with the hardware of the printer such as the LCD back light or other issue that requires service.

If the screen is white, this indicates an issue or corruption of the printer's firmware. You can attempt to re-flash the firmware and this may recover the printer. Reference these articles for instructions to update your firmware:
