Note: A number of materials are no longer compatible with the BBP33 / BBP31 / BBP30 model printers. Attempting to use these materials will give an Error 51. Resolution
 

1. Open the cover and ensure the tape is installed correctly and the message will automatically clear. If not, try and load a new tape roll: 

• BBP31 - How to Load Ribbon and Label Materials
• BBP30 / BBP33 - How to Load Label & Ribbon Materials
• BBP35 / BBP37 / S3700 - Loading Ribbon and Label Media

 

2. Make sure the printer has the latest firmware version and updated if needed.

• BBP30 and BBP33 - Upgrade the Firmware Without Access to LCD Screen
• BBP35 / BBP37 - How to View and Update the Firmware Version
• S3700 - Serial Number Location

 

3. S3700 Only - Confirm the material has the V:2 chip design. You will receive this message if you are using V1 materials. The S3700 only works with V2 materials: V2 Chip Redesign for B30 Series Materials.
