Issue


The printer displays Error 52 No Media Remaining.


Troubleshooting
 

  1. Depleted Media - The smart cell of materials is programmed with a finite length, as labels pass through the machine it calculates how much material should be left on the roll. Once the counter reaches 0, this message will occur. The computer chip on the label roll is telling the printer "end of roll". To resolve this error, replace the media with a new tape roll.

  1. Swapped Smart Cells - This could be caused by removal of the center spindle containing the smart cell from one roll of labels and putting other labels on the roll and using that in the printer. Never use a label roll spindle that did not come with the labels.  

 

  1. Damaged Contact Pins - The contact pins in the printer read information from the smart cell. Examine the location where the smart cell makes contact with the internal mechanics of the printer.
