Issue

Error 48 - Error Reading Media Memory Cell displays on the printer. 
 

Resolution

 

  1. Open the cover and ensure the tape is installed correctly and the message will automatically clear.

 

  1. Try and load a new tape roll. 

     

  2. Make sure your printer has the latest firmware version and update if needed by going to Bradyid and select printer model.

 

  1. A number of materials are no longer compatible with the BBP33, BBP31, BBP30 model printers. Attempting to use these materials will cause the "Error reading media memory cell" error. Please reference this article for more info: Brady Printers - Error 51, Printer Backfeeds with Error 55.
