Possible Causes of Print Quality
- Incorrect label material/ribbon combination. Verify the correct ribbon for the label roll is loaded into the printer. Refer to the Ribbon Cross Reference Guide: BMP61 Ribbon Compatibility Chart and Ribbon and Label Compatibility.
- Battery pack may be worn out and not holding a charge. Battery life is approximately one to three years, depending on its use and care. Order a replacement battery pack.
- Ribbon or label media are installed incorrectly. Ensure ribbon and label material are installed correctly. Review the instructions for loading the ribbon or media: How to Load Ribbon and Labels into the BMP61 and M610 - Load Labels and Ribbon.
- Dust or adhesive accumulated on print head. Clean the print head. Refer to the instructions for cleaning the printer: BMP61 / M610 - Clean the Printer.
- Ribbon wrinkling or not advancing properly. With the ribbon installed, rotate the rewind spool (top spool) in a downward direction until all slack is removed (User Manual Pg.1-15): BMP61 User Manual and M610 - User Manual & Quick Start Guide.
- Update the YB Parts Database: BMP61 - Update the Printer Label Library and M610 Label Printer - Update the Printer Label Library.
