Issue

The i3300, i5300 and s3100 stops or does not start to print when a print job is sent from Brady Workstation. The printer displays a small blinking printer icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
 


Cause

This icon means the printer is receiving information from Brady Workstation. The printer is able to make partial communication with the software, however something is interfering. In most cases it's an installed driver which is not required with Brady Workstation.
 


Troubleshooting
 

  1. Restart Brady Workstation and power cycling the printer. Then try printing again.

  1. If you continue to have issues, check to see if the printer needs to be manually configured in the Printers app in Brady Workstation: 

 

  1. Make sure you have not installed the printer driver when using this printer with Brady Workstation: Brady Workstation - Direct Print Compatibility. If the driver is installed, it will need to be removed: Printer Drivers - Full Driver Removal.

 

  1. Verify the cutter is closed. If the cutter is not closed all the way, the i3300 or S3100 cannot print a label. The cutter module is released by pressing the two yellow tabs. Push the cutter up until it clicks in place
