- Remove all damaged ribbon and/or labels from the printer.
- Check that there is no damage to the printhead, cutter blades, sensors, etc.
- Check whether any cleaning is needed. If cleaning is required, see: How to Clean the i5300 Printer.
- Reload ribbon and labels and clear all error messages.
Clearing Cutter Jams
- Cut the supply as shown below.
- Squeeze the tabs to release and tilt the cutter module forward and down.
- Rotate the cutter gear counter-clockwise to lower the blade.
- Remove the supply.
- Rotate the gear clock-wise until the blade is no longer visible.
- Lift the enclosed side of the cutter housing until it snaps into its original position as shown below.
