Body | Brady software is not required to use a Brady label printer, some printers allow label creation using a display and keyboard on the physical printer. Brady printers can also be used with non-Brady software if the Windows driver is installed, although additional configuration is often necessary. Standalone PrintingSeveral Brady benchtop printer models support standalone printing using a touch screen:

Nearly all Brady portable printers support label creation using the keyboard and display (with the exception of the M211, M511, and M611). Transferring Label Files to Local Printer MemoryThese printer models allow transferring label files created in Brady Workstation to internal printer memory, meaning the printer can print these labels without a connection to a PC:

Driver Page SizingBrady manufactures thousands of different label sizes. Third party software will require end users to manually configure their driver for each page size. Brady software does not use driver page sizing, instead referencing a continuously updated parts database containing all label sizes. This means page sizing is configured automatically when the label file is created:
Label FilesFiles created in Brady Workstation and LabelMark cannot be opened in third party software, and vice-versa. If you have an existing collection of Brady software files, they cannot be converted.
