A6200 Print to File Feature in Brady Workstation

The March 2023 release of Brady Workstation allows saving A6200 label files directly to a USB drive, then transfer label files to the A6200 memory using the USB drive. If you do not see this functionality as described in this article, update Brady Workstation: How to Update Brady Workstation. 
 

Note: This process does not require installation or configuration of the A6200 printer driver. 
Internal A6200 files cannot be exported onto the USB driver. Only Files from Brady Workstation can be imported onto the printer.

 

  1. Launch Text Labels or Custom Designer and create a new file using the A6200 printer.

  1. Once your file is complete, click print.

  1. Select Print to File from the printers dropdown list.

  1. Select Print.

  1. Select the USB drive in the Save As popup.

 

  1. Name the label file and select save to save the .prn file to the USB.

  1. Connect the USB drive your A6200.

  1. On the A6200 LCD screen, select Files.

  1. Select External Storage.

  1. Choose the file.

  1. Select the down arrow to import the file.

  1. Depending on the printer settings, the printer will automatically go to the Print Queue screen or back to the home screen.
