Body
Extra Digit in the Barcode

The Check Digit is available on Code 39 barcodes when printing standalone. The Check Digit produces an extra character when a barcode is scanned. The check digit can vary between labels.

If you need the scanned output to be identical to what is embedded into the barcode, navigate to the Barcode Settings in the printer's setup Menu. Verify the check digit box is unchecked.

IMPORTANT: The change does apply to existing barcodes in the label editor. Make sure to do a function + clear > clear all after changing this setting, and then create the barcode.

Note: The screen may appear slightly different for each portable printer model.
