Where is My Software License?

This article provides multiple methods to locate or recover your Brady software license. This article assumes the user has purchased a license. If you are not sure if you purchased a license, or if a license was included with your printer, please reference this article: Does My Brady Printer Come with Software?

My Printer Came with a Disk, Does That Mean I Have a Software License?

No - many Brady printers ship with a disc that contains the printer driver and user manual. Brady Workstation licenses will be listed on a paper pamphlet. LabelMark licenses may have shipped on a hard copy disk clearly labeled as a LabelMark disk. All Brady software installation files (disk or download) install a trial version of the software until activated. See below. 

Brady Workstation and LabelMark license information can be found in a variety of locations. 

Software Included in Printer Packaging

If your software was purchased as part of a printer bundle or included for free, the software will be included on a small square pamphlet in the printer packaging. Brady Workstation users should note the specific suite listed on the pamphlet to avoid invalid activation errors: Brady Workstation - Invalid License ID or Password error.

E-Media Activations

If you purchased an E-media activation, the license would have been emailed to the buyer's email address. The email would follow the below format. Note that the Product Name section lists the appropriate app or Brady Workstation suite. Installing the wrong suite will give an invalid license error: Brady Workstation - Invalid License ID or Password error.

Hard Copy 

If you purchased a hard copy of the software, the license info will be listed on the CD case or box. If you've lost the box, it's possible a prior user may have registered the license upon original activation: How to Recover Registered Licenses Using the Software Self-Service Portal.

Currently Installed Software

LabelMark 6 - If the software is currently installed and activated, go to the question mark and click "About LabelMark". This will display your License ID.
 
Note: LabelMark is obsolete and replaced by Brady Workstation.

Currently installed software

Registered Software

You can recover registered software using Brady's self-service portal: Managing Your Licenses in the Brady Software Self-Service Portal.

Unable to Find Your License?

If you are unable to find your software license, review your prior orders. This will determine if software came with your printer or if your purchased the license separately. Does My Brady Printer Come with Software? 

If you are still unable to find the license, contact Global Brady Technical Support Contact Information. Tech Support can try to find the software license, but if they are unable to, a Proof of Purchase is required. Register all software licenses to the Self-Service Portal.
