Issue

The labels have faint print or there is no print.

Troubleshooting

 

  1. Verify Material Compatibility - Each Brady ribbon and label has special properties, and has a recommended counterpart: BMP71 Ribbon compatibility chart and Ribbon and Label Compatibility.
 
  1. Clean the platen roller and print head - Debris and adhesive can cause print to be faint or not appear: BMP71 - How to Clean the Printer and M710 - Clean the Printer.

 

  1. Verify that the text is transferring from the ribbon - Unwind the ribbon to see if the last label “printed” transferred from the ribbon. If text has transferred off the ribbon, please check material compatibility If text has not transferred, please contact Brady Technical Support to have the printer brought in for repair service.
