Clean the M710 Printer
Cleaning the printer improves print quality and legibility. It also increases output, machine life, printer reliability and performance.
Purchase cleaning supplies (M71-CLEAN) for the M710 on BradyID.
- Remove the labels and ribbon.
- Press FN + SETUP.
- Choose Config.
- Select the Clean Printer button.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Place the cleaning card from the cleaning kit (M71-CLEAN) in the label compartment of the printer, inserting the edge of the card up to the black line under the ribs.
- Close the printer cover until it latches.
- Tap Continue to initiate the cleaning routing.
After cleaning is complete, remove the cleaning card and allow the printer to dry 15 seconds before inserting the labels and ribbon.
Clean the Sensors
Dirty sensors can result in errors because the printer cannot detect the labels or the position of the labels.
- Pull up on the cover latch and open the print compartment cover.
- Remove the labels and ribbon.
- Using the swab from the M710 cleaning kit (M71-CLEAN), gently wipe the two sensors located just before and below the ribs.
- Allow the parts to dry before replacing the materials.
