Body | Error 66 and Error 67 - Error Reading Ribbon Memory CellCauses
- The pogo pins that detect the ribbon cell may be damaged or malformed.
- The microchip on the ribbon is corrupt.
- The programming information in the "touch cell" of the ribbon is newer than what the firmware of the printer can interpret.
Troubleshooting
- Open the cover and install ribbon correctly and/or try a different ribbon cartridge. Power-cycle the printer.
- Check the pogo pins for damage: BBP30/BBP31/BBP33 ERROR 66 & ERROR 68.
- If the pogo pins are not damaged, upgrade the printer firmware:
