Issue
The printer gives Error 66 or Error 68 - "Ribbon value at 0"
Cause
Error 66 & Error 68 codes (ribbon misread) can be caused by the Pogo Pins being in the incorrect position.
Troubleshooting
You can do a simple visual check to see if this is the issue by taking the following steps
- Open the cover of your printer. Open the printer assembly by pushing down on the yellow latch.
- The pins are located on right side of the unit if you are in front of the printer.
- Compare to the pins shown in the below photos.

The caused by pushing the upper print mechanism down too hard (closing the print head assembly too hard). If the pins are pushed down too far, the unit will need to be sent in for repair. Contact Brady Technical Support for your region: Global Brady Technical Support Contact Information.
