- If you will be using DHCP to automatically assign the IP address, press the Enter key (middle button in the Directional Pad), then press the Right Arrow to select DHCP. Press the "Enter" key to confirm your selection. You will need to power cycle the printer in order to have it pull a DHCP address from the DHCP server. Note: We recommend not using DHCP and instead configuring the printer with a static IP address. In the next section you will be configuring the driver with this address. DHCP addresses are prone to change, and the driver must then be separately updated to match the new DHCP address. Reach out to your network administrator if you're not sure what a DHCP address is or if you need help selecting an appropriate static IP address for your network.
- If you would like to set a Static IP Address, from the DHCP menu, press the Enter key, and press the Right Arrow to select Off.
- Press the Enter key again to confirm your selection. Press the Right Arrow key once to IP Address and press Enter to assign the IP address. Use the Up and Down arrows to enter the Static IP address for each digit individually. Press Enter to save the IP address.
- To return to Main Menu, press & hold the Return key for 2 seconds.
