Installing the J1000 Driver and Status Monitor

The driver allows the printer to communicate with software on Windows computers. The Status Monitor allows the user to perform maintenance, print offset adjustments, check ink levels and perform calibration operations on the printer. 
 
  1. Download the driver from BradyID (also attached to this article). 
 
  1. Launch the driver executable. We recommend running as admin. 
 
Note: Copy the driver installation files to your desktop if the executable cannot be run from the USB drive. If you are still unable to run the driver executable, reach out to your IT administrator. 
 

 
  1. Select Next. 
 
  1. Select Next.

  1. Register your printer, then hit next. Printer registration does not affect the installation process. 

 
  1. Follow prompts and select Next. 

 
  1. Select Install. 

 
  1. Select Extract. 

 
  1. Select Next. 

 
  1. Accept the EULA and select Next. 

 
  1. Select Finish. 

 
  1. Select Install to install the status monitor. 
 
Note: The J1000 uses a virtual Tif Port to communicate over a USB connection: J1000 Driver Uses Virtual Tif Port.
