Issue

A message displays that the printer cannot sense the loaded label supply.

Troubleshooting
 

  1. If using the i5300 printer, verify the media displays V:2. The i5300 printer will only work with V:2 labels. Refer to V2 Chip Redesign for B30 Series Materials for more information regarding V:2 materials.

For other printers, verify if the media displays V:2. If the label on the media does not display V:2, it would be yellow.

  1. Verify the labels are loaded correctly: Brady BBP30/BBP33 - How to Load Label & Ribbon Materials / BBP31 - How to Load Ribbon and Label Materials / i3300 - How to Load Labels and Ribbon / S3100 - How to Load Ribbon and Label Materials.

 

  1. Verify the label and ribbon combination: BBP30 Ribbon and Label Compatibility Chart / BBP31 Ribbon and Label Compatibility ChartBBP33 Ribbon and Label Compatibility Chart / i3300 Ribbon and Labels Compatibility Chart / S3100 Ribbon and Label Compatibility Compatibility Chart.

 

  1. Clean the printer:
