PR Plus Series - How to Load Label and Ribbon Material

Load the Labels
Open the cover.
Lift up the Media Retainer.
Load the label material with the labels coming over the top.
Lower the Media Retained and tighten.
Feed the label material through the red sensor guides to the platen roller.
Tighten the red media guides to the edge of the labels.
Use the tab below the sensor guide to place the sensor in the gap or notch of the labels.
Load the Ribbon
Note: The ribbon take-up orientation shown at 0:47 seconds is incorrect. See this article for correct ribbon orientation - Out of Ribbon Error on the i7100.
Open the printer cover.
Turn the knob on the ribbon supply hub clockwise.
Slide the ribbon onto the ribbon supply hub. The ribbon should make a 9 with the end of the ribbon coming from the right.
Turn the knob counter-clockwise until the transfer ribbon roll is secure.
Guide the transfer ribbon through the printer and under the printhead.
Bring the ribbon from the right on the take-up spindle and wrap counter-clockwise.
Spin the ribbon take-up spindle counter-clockwise until the ribbon has no wrinkles.
