Body | Transferring Printer Part Pairings to Additional PCsPrinter part pairings allow a specific label position adjustments to apply only when a specific printer is used. For more information see: How to Setup a Printer-Part Pairing in Brady Workstation
Users running multiple PCs with Brady Workstation may want to transfer these adjustments so that they do not need to be made manually on each individual PC. Printer part pairings are appended to a file called CustomParts.XML which is located in C:\ProgramData\Brady Corp\Brady Workstation\Components\PartsDataBase.
- Note: Transferring this file will also transfer all custom parts, and wipe out any unique custom parts on the target PC that do not exist in the transferred file.
1. On the PC where Printer-part pairings have already been configured: Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Brady Corp\Brady Workstation\Components\PartsDataBase.
2. Copy the CustomParts.XML file to USB or network storage. This file can also be emailed.
3. Transfer the CustomParts.XML file to the target PC which does not have the printer part pairings configured. Brady Workstation must be installed.
4. Copy the CustomParts.XML file into C:\ProgramData\Brady Corp\Brady Workstation\Components\PartsDataBase.See Also
