How to Show Hidden Files and Folders in Windows

1. Open up File Explorer.

 

2. Click the View tab.

 

3. Click Show and Hidden items.

 

 

Windows 8 / 8.1 /10

 

1. Open up File Explorer.

 

2. Click the View tab on the upper left.

 

3. Under the "Show and Hide" section, check the box next to Hidden Items.

 

Windows 7

 

1. Select the Start button, then select Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization.

 

2. Select Folder Options, then select the View tab.

 

3. Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then select OK.
