Networking the i5100

Network settings for first-time setup are configured from the printer touch screen.
 
Note: Wifi connectivity requires an additional accessory - i5100/i7100 - Connecting to WiFi Network.
 
Ethernet configuration
 
  1. From the printer touch screen, press the gray gear icon.

  1. Select the Setup gear icon.

  1. Select the Interfaces icon.

  1. Select Ethernet.

  1. Check the "DHCP" option to have an address automatically assigned to the printer.
Note: If DHCP does not work, turn off the printer and disconnect and reconnect the ethernet cable and try again or try another ethernet port.
 

To assign a static IP, uncheck "DHCP" and enter the following info:
  • IP Address
  • Netmask
  • Gateway info (if necessary)
  • DNS Server

Viewing the Assigned IP Address
 
  1. Press the gear icon.

  1. Select info, the printer's IP address will be displayed in this menu.
