Body | IssueThe BBP35, BBP37, and S3700 states "Invalid Supply - Expected color not found."Troubleshooting
- Clean the printer: BBP35 / BBP37 - How to Clean Printer or S3700 - Clean the Printer. There is a color sensor in the unit that can be disrupted by dust or debris in the printer, thoroughly blow out the printer with compressed air. The color sensor can be found in the image below.
- Timeout - The printer timed out searching for the correct color panel. The memory cell indicates the color is there but the system cannot find it. To resolve, replace the ribbon and/or try power cycling the printer.
-
Sensor Interference from UV Light or Heat - make sure the printer isn't in direct UV light (such as sun light) or exposed to high levels of heat (placed in direct sunlight near a window). This can interfere with the color sensor so the printer can't determine what color ribbon is installed.
- Replace the ribbon.
If none of the above solve the issue, repair may be needed to replace a failed color sensor. Contact Global Brady Technical Support (Contact Information) in your region to continue troubleshooting.Related information
