Body | Sensor settings are in the Setup menu accessible from the printer touch screen.
On the BradyPrinter i7100, there are a few sensor settings that work better with specific types of label materials. This includes a seldom-used sensor setting called Top Reflect, and the more commonly used Bottom Reflect and Gap Sensor settings. With gapped material, the Gap Sensor setting should be used.
In the past we’ve advised that users select the Bottom Reflect sensor setting for notched material, but there have been a few instances where calibration is inconsistent with this setting. In these cases, the user should switch the sensor type to Top Reflect to see if calibration is more consistent.

- Select the gear icon.
- Select Setup.
- Select Labels.
- Select Label sensor.
- Select the corresponding Label sensor.
