Issue
The i5100 gives a "ribbon ink side" error.
Causes
The ribbon is loaded upside down
The print head requires cleaning
A printer configuration setting is in conflict with the installed ribbon
Troubleshooting
Turn off Monitor Ink Side in the printer menu: Settings > Setup > Ribbon > Monitor Ink Side > Set to Off
Make sure the ribbon is loaded in the correct orientation:
i5100 - Loading Ribbon and Label Media
Clean the print head:
i5100 - Cleaning and Preventative Maintenance
