Body
What happens when USB Virtualization is installed?

Most likely, the PC will not detect the presence of the USB printer properly. You can witness this by opening Device Manager and then connecting the USB cable and turning the printer on. The Device Manager will refresh letting you know that the PC has detected the presence of the USB connection, but Device Manager lists the printer as part of the "USB Virtualization Connector Driver". The printer driver cannot be successfully installed if Device Manager is detecting the printer in this manner.

How to work around this issue so that the printer driver can be installed:

1. Click on the "USB Virtualization" branch in Device Manager to expand it so that "USB Virtualization Connector Driver" is visible.
2. Then right click on "USB Virtualization Connector Driver" and Disable it.
3. Next, while the printer is connected to the PC, turn the printer off and back on and the PC should detect the presence of the printer properly.
