Issue

The "No labels detected" error displays.

No labels detected

Cause
 
  • There are no labels installed in the printer.
  • The smart cell cannot be detected.
  • Non-authentic labels are installed in the printer. 

Troubleshooting
 
  1. Confirm if the label supply, including bulk, is installed correctly and confirm the smart cell is properly aligned. 
Important: Bulk cores cannot be re-used. When installing bulk labels, replace the core for each new box of labels: BMP61 / M610 / M611 / BMP71 / M710 - Best Practices When Using Bulk Media. If you are using a bulk box, verify you have the correct core by matching the bulk core lot number to the bulk box lot number. 
 
  1. Re-install or replace the label supply.
 
  1. Install Authentic Labels in the printer: Portable Printers - Brady Authentic Labels.
