Note: If you do not have the Status Monitor installed, refer to How to Install the J1000 Driver and Status Monitor.

  1. If the Status Monitor does not appear, search for Brady Status J1000 on your computer.

  1. Select Settings on the Status Monitor.

  1. Adjust the settings as needed.
    • Select the radio button for the applicable Print Quality.
    • Select Reset Default to reset either the Supply or Ink Saturation back to the default settings or select the plus/minus to change the value.

Print Quality

  • Draft: 300 x 300 dpi. Uses the least amount of ink, but with lower resolution.
  • Normal: 600 x 600 dpi.
  • Best: 600 x 1200 dpi. Highest print quality, but longer print time and uses more ink.

Supply

The print thickness is set to 2 mm by default.
  • If the setting is too high, the print quality can be affected.
  • If the setting is too low, this can cause the printhead to strike the card during printing.

Ink Saturation

The default ink saturation is 60.
  • If the print is too light, increase the saturation.
  • If excessive ink is being applied, decrease the saturation.
