How to Setup the Auto Cutter Accessory on the i7100

Required Tools
  • Hex Key
  • Torx Key Size T-20
 
  1. Remove the covers.
  • Loosen the screw (2) with the hex key and remove the cover (1).
  • Loosen the two screws (4) with the hex key and remove cover (3).

  1. For cutter operation, you must have a mounted a tear-off plate or a dispense plate on the printer, to lead the material through the blades of the cutter. If this is not installed the printer will display a "door open" error. 
  • Loosen screw (4) a few turns with the hex key.
  • Leave the tear-off or peel-off plate (2) mounted on the printer and mount the cutter tray on the screw (4) and the pins (3).
  • Tighten screw (4).

A tear off bar or dispensing plate must be installed or the printer will give an Open Door error.
 
  1. Mount the cutter.
Important: Disconnect the printer from the electrical outlet before mounting or removing the cutter. 
  • Insert the pins (3) of the cutter (5) into the holes (1) of the printer.
  • Press the cutter against the printer. That way the plug of the cutter will be connected to the peripheral port (2) of the printer.
  • Secure the cutter (5) with the screw (4).

Configure Driver Settings

  1. Navigate to Control Panel.

  1. Select Devices and Printers.

  1. Right-click the i7100 and choose Printer Properties.

  1. Select Preferences on the General Tab.

  1. Select Advanced Setup tab.

  1. Select the Every radio button under Cutter, which defaults to a quantity of 1 label.

  1. Select OK
 
  1. Select the Advanced tab.

  1. Select the Advanced Setup tab.

  1. Select the Every radio button, which defaults to 1 label.
