TitleHow to Save and Refresh Imported Data In Print Partner
Body
By design, Print Partner does not save data imported into a template (as of BWS Shell 4.10). The data only exists in the template for that Print Partner session, once the program is closed the data must be re-imported. For this reason, data refresh options do not work in Print Partner. If you need data to persist across Print Partner sessions, you can create a label file (not template) in Custom Designer and use object copies for your static data

1. Create your label file and import Excel Data: Using Label Object Copies with Imported Excel Data

2. Still in Custom Designer, select "refresh values when this label file is opened" and "Refresh values when this label file is printed" as needed: Data Refresh in Brady Workstation, then save your file.

3. You can then open this label file in Print Partner. The data refresh configurations will apply.
  • Note: This will disable the Print Partner user from importing data to the label in Print Partner or modifying any part of the label. Only the user with access to Custom Designer can choose which spreadsheet is referenced by the label file. This workaround has limited to use cases where the users who are printing should not have access to modify data on the label, but you still need the ability to save and refresh data after it has been imported.
