The TLS2200 was designed to communicate with PC's over a 9-pin serial port connection. Few modern computers have this port so a USB to serial adapter is necessary. We have determined the Prolific model 2302 adapter appears to function without issues.

Installing the TLS2200 Driver
1. Download the driver from BradyID (also attached).
2. Right click and run the driver install as admin.
3. Select the option to add a local printer manually.
4. Choose a COM port.
Note: Check to see which COM port is assigned to the Prolific USB to serial adapter in Device Manager (See the first image in below section "Configure Port Settings").
5. Hit Next to install the printer driver.
6. Click Install.
7. Choose a sharing setting, click Next and then Finish.
Configure Port Settings
1. Navigate to Devices and Printers and expand the Ports (COM & LPT) item. Note the COM number.

2. Right Click the Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port and click Properties.
3. Go to the Port Settings tab, confirm these fields are configured with these options then click OK:
Bits per second 9600
Data bits 8
Parity None
Stop bits 1
Flow control Xon/Xoff
4. Navigate to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
5. Right Click the TLS2200 and choose Printer Properties.
6. Go to the Ports tab, confirm COM port number matches the COM port number listed for the Prolific device in Devices and Printers in step 1.
7. Click Configure Port, confirm the port settings here match the settings in step 3.
