Body | Installing the J4000 Driver and PrintHubDo not connect the printer to your PC until instructed by the driver installation wizard. The J4000 requires a driver to communicate with 3rd party software and Brady Workstation. PrintHub is a printer status monitoring tool that visually indicates print media information and allows users to change printer settings.
Important: This driver requires internet access. If you do not have internet access, use the instructions in this article: J4000 - Download the Driver and PrintHub without Internet Access.
- Download the J4000 driver from BradyID.com.
- Right click and select Extract All.
- Select the folders until you get to the Driver file. Right click and run the driver .exe as administrator.
Note: If you're unable to run as admin or the driver executable does not launch, contact your IT administrator for assistance installing the printer driver.
- Select Let's get started.
- Make sure all 3 boxes are checked if this is a first time install, then select Install Printer. If this is not the first time installing the driver, there will be no boxes to check.
- Select the USB connection type.
- Connect the USB cable when prompted.
Location of the J4000 USB port
- Select Install Software.
- Wait while the software installs.
- Register your printer, or select Continue.
- Install Brady Workstation, or select Continue.
- Select Launch and Close.
- The J4000 PrintHub will launch.
