Body | Symptoms
- After opening a LabelMark 5 file in Text Labels and previewing the print job, some labels are duplicated and have text on top of text.
- Workstation throws a "file is corrupt" error when opening a LabelMark 5 file in Brady Workstation.
Causes
- The file is marked Read Only.
- This error can occur when an .l5f file opened in Brady Workstation was created in an older version of LabelMark 5 (5.2).
- This error can also occur if the file was created by saving a LabelMark 5 template after importing data. As of BWS Shell 4.10.0.3 (September 2020 release) Brady Workstation cannot convert LabelMark 5 files created using this method.
WorkaroundsMethod 1Remove the Read Only attribute from the file's Properties. Method 21. Download the last release of LabelMark 5 (will install as 30 day trial). 2. Open and save the file in the newer version of LM5. 3. Open the file in Brady Workstation.
If this does not resolve then the file may need to be manually recreated in Brady Workstation.Method 31. In Text Labels, right click and select all labels. 2. Create a new label with the exact same part. 3. Paste the data into the new label.
