Issue

The IP series printer gives a "cutter blocked" error message. This may occur on IP series models that do not have autocutters. 

Troubleshooting

  1. Update the printer firmware if your IP series printer displays this message and is not an autocut model: How to Upgrade the Firmware on the PR, IP, and BBP72 Printers.

 

  1. Completely unplug the printer. Inspect the cutter area for label debris that may be blocking actuation of the cutter. Use a tweezers and 90% rubbing alcohol to remove adhesive or label debris. Clean the printer: IP 300/ 600 - Cleaning Instructions.

The printer is obsolete and no longer repaired: Obsolete Brady Printers - No longer supported or repaired.
