Issue
The IP series printer gives a "cutter blocked" error message. This may occur on IP series models that do not have autocutters.
Troubleshooting
- Update the printer firmware if your IP series printer displays this message and is not an autocut model: How to Upgrade the Firmware on the PR, IP, and BBP72 Printers.
- Completely unplug the printer. Inspect the cutter area for label debris that may be blocking actuation of the cutter. Use a tweezers and 90% rubbing alcohol to remove adhesive or label debris. Clean the printer: IP 300/ 600 - Cleaning Instructions.
The printer is obsolete and no longer repaired: Obsolete Brady Printers - No longer supported or repaired.
