Brady Workstation - How to Create a Serialized Barcode

Brady Workstation offers functionality to create sequences - values that change from one label to the next according to parameters defined by the end user.
Note: This video has an older version of Brady Workstation. The screens have changed but the content is similar.

Note: This functionality is not available for the basic sequence plugin. Advanced sequence must be used. A red square will appear if a user attempts to drag and drop a sequence created using Basic Sequence into a barcode element.
Add Serializations to Barcodes
Add an Advanced Sequence to a barcode on a Label or a Template.
Advance Sequence on a Label
Click Custom Designer.
Select the Printer.
Select the Label Part.
Select Blank Label.
Click Create.
Click Sequence.
Click Sequence.
Select the Type.
Enter the Start Value.
Enter the End Value.
Click the + to add additional Elements. Repeat steps 8-10 for each additional Element
Click the radio button for Barcode.
Click the dropdown for Barcode and select the barcode type.
Enter Before text, if applicable. Before text is applied to the beginning of every sequence and does not change.
Enter After text, if applicable. After text is applied to the end of every sequence and does not change.
Click and drag the barcode onto the label.
Click the barcode.
Adjust the barcode settings, if needed.
Serialized Barcode on a Template
In this example Print Partner is used to add a sequence to a barcode in a template, however you can also simply create a label file in Custom Designer and add the sequence: Brady Workstation - How to Create Serializations.
Create a template in Custom Designer by selecting Blank Template and Create.
Click Barcode.
Click and drag in the label to create the Barcode.
Choose Placeholder.
Select Barcode. The number next to barcode may be different depending on how many barcodes are on the label.
Select your barcode symbology.
Enter data in Value as a placeholder for the barcode size.
Save the template and close the label file in Custom Designer.
Open your template in Print Partner.
Choose the drop-down for Sequence and click Sequence.
Note: As of BWS Shell 4.10, Print Partner cannot add a Basic Sequence into a template. The Advanced Sequence plugin must be used.
Enter sequence parameters.
Click and drag the finished barcode onto the label within the barcode. The box around the barcode will turn green instead of blue.
