Create and Print GHS Labels
 
  1. Open the GHS Labels application in Brady Workstation.

New Chemical
 
  1. Select New Chemical if the Product (Chemical) you are looking for is not listed. If the Product (Chemical) appears, proceed to step 7. 
 Note: Your product list may appear different.

  1. Select Search by name or CAS number to use a product that is already in the system. Refer to GHS Labels - List of Predefined Chemicals for further instructions.

  1. If you are adding a product not predefined in the list, enter applicable information on each tab.

  1. Once all information is entered, select Save and Continue.

  1. Click in the box for the acknowledgement and select Save.

Create Labels
 
  1. Select the Create Labels icon for that product. A label tab opens.

  1. Select the gear icon User-added image under Size & Layout.

  1. Choose the applicable settings in the Select a Label & Size window and select OK.

Tip: If you are using a monochrome printer and can't print the red diamonds for the pictograms, choose Pre-Printed for the part type and use a label part that comes with the red diamonds pre-printed.
 
Note: The GHS app will block out unused diamonds because the GHS diamonds cannot be left blank per OSHA regulations, review the OSHA website for more information. For example, if your label part has four pictogram diamonds but you need to print a label for a chemical that has only two pictograms, the software fills-in with a solid color the empty diamonds so anyone viewing the labels knows that no pictograms are missing.
 
  1. Select Print.
