Issue

After clicking "Upgrade BMP71" the BMP71 firmware upgrade utility freezes and displays a message stopping bidirectional communication. The firmware upgrade cannot be completed. 

Resolution
 
  1. Close the BMP71 Update Utility firmware.
  2. Right-click the BMP71 Update Utility desktop executable.
  3. Select Run as administrator.

If you are still experiencing issues, contact Global Brady Technical Support (Contact Information) for your region. Please provide your serial number: BMP71 - Serial Number Location. 

If you are unable to update the firmware, the printer may need to be repaired: Requesting a Repair Authorization for a Brady Portable Printer.
