Requesting a Repair Authorization (RA)Repair authorizations can be requested by contacting Brady Technical Support. If you already have a case number from Technical Support, reply in an email with the case number and the following information:
- Return shipping address of the printer
- Billing address
- Printer model
- Printer serial number
- Problem description - Include images and videos if applicable.
- PO or Credit card (required up front for flat rate repairs, we do not bill until the repair is complete)
Note: Credit Card information cannot be sent in an email. Please contact Technical Support to provide card information over a secure line.
Technical Support will create a repair authorization case and send a follow up email authorizing the return for repair. This email will contain details of the repair, instructions for shipping and confirmation of return shipping address. Do not ship a printer to Brady without obtaining a repair authorization. Printers sent without authorization can become lost or greatly delay repair turnaround time. Portable Warranty RepairsPrinters under warranty are repaired free of charge. User damage is not covered by the 2 year warranty. Damage from liquids will void the 2 year warranty.
Portable Non-Warranty RepairsA flat rate fee is charged for printers repaired outside of warranty terms and conditions. The flat rate fee includes all parts, labor, cleaning, firmware upgrades if available, 90 day warranty, and the cost to ship it back to you. Box KitsBrady does not offer box kits for portable printers. We suggest avoiding the use of packing peanuts when shipping portable printers, as these can shift around in shipping. Loaner PrintersBrady does not offer loaner or rentals for portable printer repairs. Brady offers a 90-day warranty on parts and labor performed. This warranty does not cover additional issues not reported or related to the original repair case.
