Troubleshoot BMP61 WiFi Configuration
 
Note: WiFi direct refers to a networking method where the network card on the printer communicates directly the the network card on the device running the label creation software. This differs from the more common network configuration where a printer communicates with a wider network where the PC or mobile device is also connected and authenticated. So if using WiFi Direct with the Brady Express Labels Mobile app, you cannot use another wi-fi connection on your mobile device to access the internet outside of the Brady app.  
 
  1.  Confirm the network uses a security protocol recognized by the printer: Network Security and Authentication Protocols Supported by the BMP61.
Note that the BMP61 does not support 5 ghz networks: Does the BMP61 Support 5Ghz WiFi Networks?  
 
  1. Confirm no nearby networks use a security protocol unrecognized by the BMP61: BMP61 Wireless Setup Freezes if Printer Detects Unsupported Security Protocol.
 
  1. The wireless networking method you use is dependent upon your software. 
 
  1. Verify the printer was configured properly: How to Configure WiFi on the BMP61 Using the Brady Network Card Utility.
