BBP85 Dashes through the Print on the Label

Issue

The printer makes noise when printing larger labels on the BBP85. Dashes and voids appear in the print on the label. 

Ribbon issue


Troubleshooting
 
  1. Verify the tension on the ribbon. If there is too much slack in the ribbon or the ribbon is too tight, this can cause the lines in the print. 
 
  1. Decrease the print energy: BBP35 / BBP37 / BBP85 - Adjust Print Head Energy.
 
  1. Try another ribbon. If available, try a ribbon with a different lot number. 
 
  1. Try another roll of labels.
