There are two methods to adjust cut depth - a mechanical setting on the physical plotter cutter and via the touch screen. Please note that the BBP37 cutter is a wearable part and does require routine replacing: BBP37 / S3700 - How to Replace the Plotter Cutter.
Mechanical Setting on the Physical Plotter Cutter
Note: When printing, take a look at the print dialog window on the screen of the printer for indication on which setting your material requires. To set this value, the switch will need to cover the number (so if the 1 is required, cover the 1 or vice versa for the 2).
- Open the printer cover.
Looking into the printer from the side of the cover latch, the yellow stylus used for adjusting the blade height is located on the right side of the printer.
- Turn the stylus to the left for blade height #2, or to the right for blade height #1 (as depicted on the label attached to the stylus mechanism).
Adjust the Cut Depth from the Touch Screen
If your printer is still not cutting properly, you may need to adjust the amount of force on the cutter.
- On the Control Panel, in More Options, select the Left arrow.
- Under Print/Cut, select Cut Text option box to select.
- Select Print.
- Select Advanced Settings.
- Select XY Cut Settings.
- Select Adjust XY Cut Depth.
- Select the gradient box that represents the desired increase or reduction in depth. Select OK.
