i7500 - Faint Print on Labels

Issue

There is faint print on the labels.

Cause

• The ribbon is not advancing correctly.
• The printer energy may be too low.
• The label and ribbon are not compatible. 

Troubleshooting

1. Tension the ribbon by rotating the rewind spool (spool closest to the printer with the printhead locking lever open) in a downward direction until all slack is removed.

2. Try another ribbon: i7100 to i7500 Ribbon Conversion Chart.

3. Adjust the Print Energy: i7500 - Adjust Print Energy.

4. Verify the label and ribbon are compatible: i7500 - Label Materials Guide.
