Replacement Steps
Completely unplug the power cord from the printer.
Open the printhead by disengaging the yellow lever on the side to the unlocked position.
If a cutter is installed on the printer, drop the cutter down by squeezing the two yellow tabs on the top of the cutter.
Push the release lever to the right to reveal the connector pins.
This will reveal two connector pins which keep the printhead attached to the printer.
Disconnect the white connector pin. This will require the user to lift the white tab on the top of the pin with one hand, while simultaneously pulling the pin from the connector slot with the other hand. Do not twist the connector as this can bend the pins. If the pins are bent while removing the printhead, this is not covered under the printers warranty. Do not bend the pins.
Remove the black connector pin next. Simply pull on the connector to disconnect it. Keep one hand firmly on the printhead while removing the black pin to avoid dropping it.
To install the new printhead, attach the black connector pin first, then the white pin. Be very careful not to bend the pins.
Lift the new printhead up and match the three metal pins to three connector slot holes. Once you have the pins matched to the holes, push the pins into their respective slots. You should hear a latching noise once the printhead is fully connected.
