i6100 - Change the Print Method

The Print Method can be changed on the printer or in the driver. The Print Method of Direct is used when there is no ribbon installed with specific label types. If a ribbon is being used, Transfer should be selected. 

 

The default value is Transfer. 

 

Printer Settings

 

1. Press the right arrow to highlight the Setting menu icon.

2. Press OK.

3. Use the down arrows to highlight Print Method. 

 

4. Press OK. 

 

5. Use the up or down arrow to select a different Print Method: Direct or Thermal.

 

6. Once the correct Print Method displays, press OK. 

 

Print Method in the Driver

 

1. Make sure the driver is downloaded: i6100 - Download the Driver.

 

2. Open the driver by going to Printers & Scanners on the computer. 

 

3. Select the i6100 printer.

 

4. Click Printing Preferences. 

5. The checkbox next to Use Printer Settings must be unchecked. If the checkbox is not unchecked, click in the box. 

 

6. Select the radio button for the correct Print Method: Transfer or Direct. 

 

7. Click OK.
