TitleWraptor A6500 - Labels "Walking" the Feed Path, Double Feeding, or Falling Off the Liner
Body
Issue/Symptoms
  • Labels do not feed correctly out of the Wraptor/A6500 - The label liner gradually shifts over, causing the notched side of the labels to bend (see attached video).
  • Label liner is moving over to the left (toward firewall).

Cause

This can be caused by the peel plate or center clutch, however troubleshooting should be performed to confirm the cause.

Troubleshooting

1. Confirm the nip rollers are in place and the media guides are snugly fit to the liner - not squeezing the liner.

2. Confirm the materials are loaded properly through the label path: Wraptor A6500 - How to load labels video

3. If this issue has worsened gradually over time, this is an indicator that cleaning is required: How to Clean the A6500 Printer

Temporary Workaround

Try moving the label liner 1/8" away from the left stop, so that the material is just barely in the sensor and not on the notched end of the peel plate. If this temporarily resolves the issue, then the cause is likely the peel plate. Contact Brady Technical Support for next steps: Global Brady Technical Support Contact Information
