Body | The print driver is number specific - it will install for a specific printer and that printer only. If you have more than one IP Printer that you will use on a PC, you will need to install a print driver for each IP Printer. If you get a new printer, exchange printers, or use someone else's IP printer, you will need to uninstall the printer & USB driver and reinstall the drivers using the new printer.
1. Do not attach the printer to the PC. Insert the Brady IP Printer CD into your PC, or download the print driver from our website. 2. Now attach the printer using a USB cable and turn the printer on. The Windows' "Found New Hardware Wizard" will appear.
3. If it asks you "Do you want to connect to Windows Update...", select No, Not at this time.
4. If you have the Brady IP Printer CD in your PC, select the Automatic (Recommended) installation. If you downloaded the print driver to your PC, select the Specify A Location (Advanced) installation option and Browse to the folder on your PC where you downloaded the print driver, and it will have USB Setup.
This will install both the USB Driver (USB Printing Support under Universal Serial Bus Controllers in Device Manager) and the print driver (Brady IPx00 Printer in Devices and Printers, which will use a virtual USB port such as USB001 or USB002, etc).
If you installed the print driver and then hooked up the printer via USB, the USB driver will not have installed correctly and you will not be able to print. You would need to uninstall the USB and Printer drivers and reinstall them correctly as shown above.
