Print is light, fuzzy, grainy, compressed, offset or the label has blank spots or lines.
Troubleshooting
- The ribbon could be wrinkled. Remove the cartridge and rotate the take-up spool clockwise until the wrinkled ribbon is no longer visible. Reinstall the cartridge and print a label. Be careful that the ribbon does not get caught on the metal at the bottom of the cartridge bay.
- The battery may be low on the printer. Plug the printer in.
- Clean the printer. See M211 - How to Clean the Printer for further instructions on cleaning the printer.
- Try another cartridge. If possible, try a cartridge from a different lot number.
- The cartridge may have a crease in the label. Feed the label supply past the crease and reprint the label.
