The J2000 requires an internet connection to install the firmware update using the printer status monitor. Install the print driver from USB in the Box, or from the download page on BradyID.com. 1. After install, Open the Status monitor.
2. Click on the Gear (Settings) tab, you will see the screen below: The highlighted numbers in yellow may be different on your computer. Click on the "Check for updates" button.
3. You’ll see the following screen after clicking on "Check for updates". Click "Yes".
4. You will see Brady J2000 Updater screen like appear. The highlighted current version number on your machine and available update may be different than shown.
5. Click the update button and the computer will download the updates and install them on your printer.
6. After the updates are completed, you will see the following screen: Click OK
7. The J2000 Status monitor will launch again. Check to verify the latest firmware updates. Click on the settings icon again you will see the following screen.
The printer will now have the latest firmware and should be ready to print.
