i7100 Firmware Instructions

View the Current Firmware Version 
 

  1. Select the gear icon.

  1. Select Info.

Firmware Upgrade Instructions
 

  1. Download the firmware from BradyID.com.

  1. Right-click the firmware_upgrade.zip folder and click Extract All.

  1. On your USB Drive or SD card, create a folder in the root named misc.

  1. Copy the brady.cfw file into the misc folder on your USB or SD card

  1. Insert the USB Drive or SD card into the back of the printer

  1. On the printer screen tap the gear icon.

 

  1. Tap Extras.

 

  1. Tap Firmware update.
 
  1. Select the file in the dropdown.

 

  1. Tap the green check mark.

 

  1. The firmware will then be upgraded. Printer will restart after upgrade is complete.

 
IMPORTANT: Due to changes from 5.08 to 5.20 the printer will need to be re-calibrated. Future firmware updates will not need this calibration done. If you are already on 5.14 you should not need to do the calibration. To Calibrate the printer: i7100 Printer - Pressing FEED causes printer to just spit out labels after upgrading firmware from 5.08 to 5.14 version.
 
The printer will continue to try and update the firmware if you do not remove the USB once the upgrade is complete.
